Wilks Score Calculator
The Wilks coefficient was developed by Robert Wilks to allow powerlifters of different body weights to be fairly compared. A higher score means a stronger lifter relative to their size.
The Wilks Formula
Wilks = Total Lifted × Coefficient(body weight)
The coefficient is derived from a polynomial equation with separate coefficients for male and female lifters:
Male coefficient = 500 / (a + b×x + c×x² + d×x³ + e×x⁴ + f×x⁵)
Where x = body weight in kg and the constants are:
- a = −216.0475144
- b = 16.2606339
- c = −0.002388645
- d = −0.00113732
- e = 7.01863e−6
- f = −1.291e−8
Female coefficients differ accordingly.
